On November 24, 2023, the AIU hosted an international scientific and practical conference for students and young researchers on the topic “Current issues of English language and literature in the 21st century: perspectives of young researchers”, organized by the Department of Philology.

The thematic sections of the conference included:

• Modern English: the state and trends of its development

• Intercultural communication and cultural dialogue

• Language identity and communication culture in the professional sphere

• World literature

• Actual problems in the methodology of teaching English

• Information technologies in English language teaching

“The conference of International Students, which we are organizing today, represents participants from various countries, including Latin America, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, and Mali. Kyrgyzstan is represented by students from the KNU named after Zh. Balasagyn, IUK and AIU. The event is progressing successfully, with the admission of more than 35 scientific papers of students, each of which has been tested for uniqueness through the anti-plagiarism system.

Conferences of this kind contribute to the strengthening of interethnic ties and the development of the scientific potential of students through the exchange of knowledge and research, as well as discussion of modern problems related to the English language and literature in the modern world. The second stage will be held at the International University of Kyrgyzstan.” - emphasized Nurzat Kazakova, the head of the Department of Philology.
