The word is one of the most important concepts in our life. Very often, they have tremendous power that can change a person's life. Obviously, not everyone has the ability to choose the right expressions so as not to hurt the feelings of the interlocutor.

On February 17, 2023, a guest lecture on the topic “The power of words” was held by the Candidate of Philological Sciences, associate professor of the KSU named after I. Arabaev Bekbalayeva Cholpon Amangeldievna for students of the Department of Philology of the Ala-Too International University.

Lecturers also took part in order to further expand the concepts of the power of words and help young people. Cholpon Amangeldievna said that the word can both cure and mortally wound a person. All words are an expression of our emotions and thoughts. One carelessly thrown in the heat of a word can destroy a long-term friendship and leave a painful mark on the soul. And sometimes a kind word, said at the right moment, can turn life around and pull a person out of the abyss.
