On November 29, 2023, at the initiative of the lecturer of the Department of English Language and Literature of AIU Cholpon Bodbaeva, a guest lecturer was invited. Coach of the Oxford Pedagogical Academy, holder of the diploma “Celta” and “Delta” Ishenbayeva Aida Saipiduldaevna held an informative lecture on the topic “Developing reading skills among students through circular reading”, which was attended by students of 1-2 courses and lecturers.

In this lesson, participants learned from their own experience that reading circles (or literary circles) are an approach to extended reading, when a group of students work on the same story, but with different reading roles. The participants also considered ways to adapt reading circles to different learning environments.   

The lecture was in an interactive format, where students could discuss some points of the lecture. At the end of the seminar, there was a question & answer session, where participants received feedback from an expert.
